My Ratings (In-Progress)

Hey Hey Hey! I have decided to begin a ratings list! I love to read ratings lists because it sometimes helps me decide what kind of drama I want to watch and whether its worth watching or not. SOOOO, here is a ratings list that I am beginning, I will add in new dramas when I watch them and rate them.

So I rate dramas based on the whole thing like acting and plot whatever but my ratings are heavily based on how I feel about them. If I still re-watch them, that means I really really love them.

You might also notice that some dramas on my Watched page aren't on here. Thats because I watched a bunch of dramas when I was really young and I forgot about a lot of them, so I cannot rate them. These are the dramas that I have completely finished. Hopefully, this list will help you add some dramas to your watchlist.

A good drama isn't just a drama with great acting or plot. Although it might be important, it all depends on how much you enjoy them. I have watched dramas that have horrible acting (Sprout) and horrible plotlines (Sprout) but despite so, I still fell in love with them (SPROUT).

Remember that everybody's preferences are different. A drama that I don't enjoy might turn out to be your favourite drama ever. So please don't let a bad rating stop you from watching a drama. To see if a drama is good or bad, you have to actually watch it and see how you feel. Use this ratings list to help you discover amazing dramas that you've never heard of before, but don't let it stop you from watching a drama. ^^

I will be using the amazing Javabeans rating system. Im too lazy to make a rating system myself and her's is actually kinda perfect so why not? The first number is how much I liked/enjoyed it, and the second number is how objectively good I think the drama is based on plot, acting, etc. It will be from a scale of 1 (hate) - 10 (love). On top of that, I will also write a few things about what I liked and what I didn't like about each drama.

Ratings 7 and above on the first number means I personally recommend it.

Japanese

Dramas

1 Litre Of Tears (2005)

10/10 - Gawd, this drama literally killed me with its touching and sad nature. I first watched it when I was super duper young with my cousin and I didn't even cry because tbh I couldn't read the Chinese subtitles. So I rewatched it when I could understand and I fully felt the experience. This is hands down one of my favourite Jdoramas. I have yet to find another drama about an ill character that has touched me as deep as this one did. For some reason, this drama just worked. It's really not like a typical tragic Kdrama, so I definitely think this is a classic that everyone should watch at least once.

14 Sai No Haha (2006)

3/7 - Okay, I have no idea why this drama is so highly rated. I watched it because the plot seemed interesting and because Miura Haruma was in it. But gosh, even Miura Haruma couldn't pull me through this drama. I pretty much crawled through all the episodes. I love love love all the main actors, but seeing a 14-year-old mom really shut it off for me. I thought I could manage, but I guess I just can't take these touchy subjects. So this rating is purely based on my own views. But yeah, if you're looking for an entertaining drama, don't watch this one. On a side note, it could be really heartwarming for some people, so don't shut it out completely because it was an uber popular dorama.

Age Harassement (2015)

Ai Nante Irane Yo, Natsu (2002)

9/8 - I watched this after watching That Winter, The Wind Blows. I'm actually really glad for that drama, because it introduced me to this. I love love love this version because of the raw feeling it gives you. And of course, I always have an affinity for original works more than remakes. Watabe Atsuro is SO HOT here. I know he is like super old now lol, but he was fiiiine back then. And Hirosue Ryoko is an amazing actress. This drama is hard to find in eng sub (I COULD NOT FIND IT AT ALL), so I watched it in Chinese. I really wish that someone could eng sub it so more people can watch it.

Alice no Toge (2014)

8/8 - A very thrilling drama. I love love revenge dramas and having one where Ueno Juri plays a badass doctor is just perfect. This drama also includes a huge twist which I always enjoy because I love jumping off my seat and getting my mind blown. If you enjoy suspense, revenge, and heartwarming family in dramas, then watch this!

Ando Lloyd - A.I. Knows Love ? (2013)

3/? - Okay, this drama was just all over the place. I can't even give a technical rating for this drama, because it was just so confusing and I could not understand. The only reason it even gets a 3 from me is because I love Kimutaku and Shibasaki Kou. I was, however, really disappointed in what could've been an amazing drama reunion between the two since Good Luck!!

Asuko March (2011)

10/7 - GAH!! I love this drama so much! Takei Emi and Matsuzaka Tori equals LOVE. Depending on what type of viewer you are, you may love this drama or hate it. Since I am one who loves cliche plots and school life dramas, I love this drama. Honestly, it's very hard to find such good dramas that take place in school. I recommend y'all to watch it!

Beach Boys (1997)

10/10 - There is no doubt that the Japanese are the best at slice of life dramas. Not only did this drama touch me, it also made me think about my own life and how I want to lead it. Is there somewhere you want to stay forever? This is one of my favourite Jdramas and I really love the heartwarming moments it creates. It's pretty old but I would have to say it is a must watch!

Bitter Blood (2014)

8/8 - This was a solid drama that didn't wow me but didn't disappoint me. I think the highlight of this whole drama is the father and son relationship. Surprisingly, I wasn't interested in the romance at all despite it being featured a little more heavily than usual Jdramas. Overall, this is a great detective drama that will move you at certain parts.

Bloody Monday (2008)

10/9 - Okay, so this drama confused me a lot a lot. I was never bored watching it because there were constant twists and turns in the plot. You'll always be asking questions like "Who's the bad guy? Who's behind all this? Will the hero solve everything?" So yeah, its basically a fast-paced drama. Also, Miura Haruma is in it so you will get a lot of eye candy ;) He plays a hacker and kind of made me want to learn how to hack computers as well lol.

Boku No Ita Jikan (2014)

6/7 - Oh gawd, I really wanted to love this drama but I cannot lie no more. Even though my OTP Mikako Tabe and Miura Haruma is in it, this drama didn't move me at all. In Miura's defence, I often times hate dramas about people with diseases because it gets all sad and everyone is sad but I'm never really sad so then I feel sad about myself at the fact that I'm not sad at all. Yup, not confusing at all, am I right?

BORDER (2014)

11/10 -  This drama is too good. It hits all the right notes. TBH, I thought it was going to be very boring in the beginning, but I soon started to love it. The ending was spectacular and despite the loose ends, I hope there won't be an SP or a sequel. This is the drama that made me love Oguri Shun all over again after him being out of the limelight for a while. Everyone has to watch this drama. It is absolutely amazing!

Buzzer Beat (2009)

10/9 - One of my first Jdramas. This drama introduced me to Yamapi, who I love love love now. It also introduced me to Kitagawa Keiko, who's also one of my favourite actresses. Of course I love love love this drama as well. The basketball elements are actually woven in to the plotline in an interesting way. I like how the relationship dynamics between the characters were played out. I also enjoyed the fact that the leads became friends first and gradually became aware of their feelings. This is a Jdrama classic that everyone needs to watch.

Celeb To Binbo Taro(2008)

9/7 - Full review here

Challenge to Kudo Shinichi (2011)

8/8 - I'm always up for mysteries and this drama entertained me a lot. I like how there was the mystery of why they were even in that white box. Overall, Kudo Shinichi never disappoints!

Code Blue (2008)

6/8 - Oh my gosh, I almost dropped this drama because it was getting so boring. It's actually not the drama's fault because I just don't like medical dramas that much, but the attraction of Yamapi and Aragaki Yui and Toda Erika just pulled me in with such a strong force that I could not resist. Anyhow, the medical aspect might interest some people because its about a hospital that helps rescue victims by flying out helicopters.

First Class (2014)

9/8 - TEEHEE. This drama is such a guilty pleasure. If you're a girl, you will be constantly thinking "OMG THATS SO LIKE WHAT GIRLS DO" when you watch this drama. Feminists don't come near me, but there is some truth that a lot of girls are bitchy. Also, I liked the setting of a magazine company and the aspect of climbing up the social ladder. There are these rankings that they have at the beginning and end of each episode to tell you the characters status. It's SUPER INTERESTING! There's so many twists and turns that you'll never be bored.

First Love (2002)

6/5 - Okay this drama frustrated the crap out of me. The characters have serious problems and even though I know thats normal in dramaworld, some of the characters are just straight up psycho. I watched this for Watabe Atsuro but he really doesn't suit this type of drama even though he was younger back then. There were parts I enjoyed but I skipped too many parts where I hated to call give this drama a high rating.

Galileo 1 (2007)

10/10 - So so so good. ALL of the mysteries are so interesting and high quality. I love the way the male lead solves his mysteries and he actually made me want to learn more so I could be cool like him lol. This drama also introduced me to Shibasaki Kou, who can really give all sorts of expressions. The leads are amazing together and they have wonderful chemistry that doesn't even have to be romantic. The comedic elements hit all the right spots as well. You will seriously laugh so much if you watch this.

Galileo 2 (2013)

10/9 - Even though a lot of people don't like Yoshitaka Yuriko, I still found this second season to be very satisfying. The cases are still good as always!

GOLD (2010)

6/7 - I'm not sure how to even rate this drama because I just clicked out. I pretty much only watched it for Takei Emi and Matsuzaka Tori. I also didn't really like Amami Yuki that much because she totally child abused Takei Emi's character. I'm not just being protective because Emi's my bias but if you watch the drama you will literally be like WTF did she really just hit her that hard?

Good Luck!! (2003)

9/9 - My first ever airport drama and I love it! This was one of my first Kimutaku dramas and probably my favourite next to Love Generation. I also fell in love with Shibasaki Kou here for her colourful facial expressions. There was loads of chemistry and I loved how the dream of being a pilot was an important element.

Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (2007)

8/9 - ala ala. Hanakimi! I really hate anything to do with gender bender, but I actually really liked this drama. I know it's a classic among drama fans and I do believe it's the best take on the manga so far. The Taiwanese and Korean one was horrible for me. I think why I loved this drama so much despite it being a gender bender is because Maki Horikita really fits short hair and Oguri Shun is such an adorable drunk. Of course I need to mention Ikuta Toma and all his crazy antics as well. This drama is definitely a classic for a reason.

Hard Nut ~ Suugaku Girl no Koisuru Jikenbo (2013)

10/10 - LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS DRAMA. It might be because I was totally not expecting this drama to kick ass, but it pretty much became my number one drama of 2013. Hashimoto Ai is such a diverse actress and Kengo Kora is such a cutie! Read my full review here!

Hero (2001)

8/8 - Behold! The highest rated drama in J-dorama history! I definitely get why this show was popular. Kimutaku just has that x factor that makes him such an enjoyable actor to watch. His character quirks were definitely the highlight of the drama and his interactions with Matsu Takako's character are so amusing. Quality-wise, it might not be the most deserving of being the highest rated dorama but it really is one of the best doramas out there.

Hirugao (2014)

7/8 - In a never done before drama, Hirugao explores the affairs of Japanese housewives. I only watched this for Ueto Aya and I think it was pretty entertaining. Personally, I didn't like it thaaaat much because of the drama premise but if you're into this kind of stuff, I think its really well done.

Higashino Keigo Mysteries (2012)

9/9 - The rating you see here is a general rating because this is a compilation of different mysteries by the author, Higashino Keigo. I think every episode was very solid and I especially enjoyed the episode with Toda Erika even though it was so scary and gave me the creeps. I wish the mystery at the start of each episode was solved in the end because I actually quite enjoyed it, but I'm not too peeved about it since I got plenty of great mysteries from this drama.

Houkago wa Mystery Totomo ni (2012)

9/7 - I have no idea why I enjoyed this drama so much because the writing and plot was so weak. I guess its partly because of my love for Kawaguchi Haruna but its also the ridiculous yet engaging mystery surrounding the locked up fridge. It's a light watch and doesn't require too much thought to be entertained.

Itazura na Kiss - Love in Tokyo (2013)

9/9 - The first time I watched this drama I absolutely hated it. And then a few months later I watched a few drama MVs and decided to watch it again. This is so weird but I fell so in love with this drama the second time around. I really cannot explain it but I think the first watch was clouded by comparisons I kept making in my head. Out of all the adaptations out there, this one would be my favourite. The Taiwanese one is pretty top notch too except that I'm currently mesmerized by Furukawa Yuki.

Itazura na Kiss - Love in Tokyo 2 (2015)

9/9 - Honestly I thought I wouldn't enjoy this as much as I did the first season but I'm afraid I might even enjoy it more. I hated the second season of the Taiwanese version and I concluded that it was because things got boring once they got together, but boy was I wrong. This season was super entertaining and things never got boring for me. I loved the new characters wholeheartedly and seeing Kotoko and Naoki change each other for the better was just so satisfying. If you're hesitant on whether you should watch the second season of ItaKiss, definitely check it out first because I loved it so chances are you will too :D

Kagi no Kakatta Heya (2012)

8/8 - There are a lot of typical detective dramas out there and its hard to set yourself from the others but this drama did a very good job. Some people might find it boring to have a locked room murder every episode but I actually got really interested in locks after watching this drama. It was enjoyable and the 3 main characters were super funny when they interacted with eachother.

Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake (1998)

10/9 - This drama is just perfect other than some minor problems with health education. Fukada and Kaneshiro are just amazing individually and more amazing with each other. This drama made me think so much about life and how one decision can change everything, for better or for worse or even for both. Definitely watch it if you want a drama with a little more meaning and makes you think.

Keizoku 2: SPEC (2010)

9/9 - As weird as it was right off the bat, I came to love SPEC after watching every one of its SPs and movies. I'm pretty sure I only love this drama because of eh.. you know.. just the awesome cases, delicious gyoza, cute Toda and Kase, cute Miyabi, and amazing and engaging storyline. Lol yeah I'm pretty sure you will love this drama if you give it a chance. If you get repulsed right away I would be offended either because I'm just glad I watched SPEC every step of the way.

Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo N (Neo) (2014)

9/9 - LOVE IT! Every single case was super well done! I much prefer a shorter drama with high quality episodes than a long one with lackluster ones. Kindaichi can never do wrong for me and this version just made me love it even more. If you're into Japanese detective dramas, this one is pretty much a must-watch.

Kingyo Club (2011)

5/7 - I don't know man. I don't even know why I watched this drama in the first place. I don't hate it at all but it just got really dramatic for me. Maybe I was just scared at how realistic it was, but I wasn't feeling the characters at all. The one thing that made me finish it was the cute bond the leads had over the fish.

Kinkyori Renai - Season Zero (2014)

7/6 - Seeing that it's one of Hayato Kawai's dramas, I'm not surprised at how nostalgic it felt. The slow motion camera and close ups along with beautiful cinematography have become one of Kawai's signature characteristics! This drama was kind of like a teaser for the actual movie coming out and it was okay. I didn't like the lead male casting and the 'love triangle' is pretty boring. I enjoyed it personally which is why I gave it a 7, but I wouldn't recommend it which is why I gave it a 6.

Kurosagi (2006)

10/8 - I just recently rewatched this little gem and fell in love with it all over again. This is probably Yamapi at his best for me. I know a lot of people think this show is hyped up but I really enjoyed it. The swindling was entertaining and even though I don't believe in the Robin Hood types I still rooted for Kurosagi. People always say to forgive and forget but I doubt I would be able to stop myself from getting revenge. Also, Maki Horikita and Yamapi reunite in this drama after Nobuta Wo Produce and I shipped them so hard. I literally squealed in the last episode!

LADY~Saigo No Hanzai Profile~ (2011)

8/7 - Y'all are probably thinking I'm an idiot but I have never ever heard of profiling before this drama. The whole concept was so surprising and I practically had an epiphany that criminals could be caught through these statistical and psychological deductions! Overall it is an interesting drama to watch and Kitagawa Keiko and Kaname Jun are such eye candy.

Legal High (2012)

9/9 - This was my first time watching a drama about lawyers and law cases and I really enjoyed it! Legal High is probably one of the funniest dramas I've watched. Its nice to have a little change when all I watch are usually detective dramas because lawyers just have to defend their clients and don't have to really find out the full truth. I love the scheming ways of the lead character and also his relationship with Aragaki Yui's character. Its just pure comedy at its best with interesting cases. Everything is plus plus plus!

Legal High 2 (2013)

10/9 - I actually enjoyed this more than the first one because of the murder case backstory. It was a case well done and kept me on the edge of my seat. Also the plot twist towards the end involving Okada Masaki's character really took me aback! Again another must watch if you want to enjoy a good laugh and get your mind thinking about the interesting cases.

Liar Game 1 (2007)

9/8 - Not gonna lie, this drama kind of scared me at first with the masked game master guy. It was my first ever Japanese drama and it was so enjoyable that I got into a whole bunch of other ones and now I'm addicted. The games were really interesting and totally proved to me how stupid I was. Although a bit repetitive, its a nice easy watch if you're a fan of the manga and a fan of mind games.

Liar Game 2 (2009)

9/8 - Same rating as the first season. I think a lot of people would've gotten tired of the repetitiveness, but I felt like the games were even more intricate and interesting. The only gripe I have with this drama is that I REALLY WANTED THE OTP TO KISS. I know it doesn't happen in the manga and I know they hugged, BUT STILL! NO KISS?!?!

Love Generation (1997)

10/9 - I know a lot of people are turned off by old dramas because of the quality, fashion, style, etc. But often times a lot of the older dramas are better in storyline and execution. Love Generation was the beginning of my Kimura Takuya drama marathons and remained my favourite. It's just a great romantic comedy! I loved Matsu Takako as well playing the feisty and sometimes over the line Riko.

Love Shuffle (2009)

9/7 - The only reasons why I enjoyed this drama was because of Matsuda Shota and Yoshitaka Yuriko. I also liked the big twist with the psychologist at the end. Other than that I found none of the other characters that compelling. The score of 9 is for the memorable and cute OTP.

Mr. Brain (2009)

7/8 - This is a solid detective drama. The high tech elements were interesting but the drama was a little too short so the main mystery was never really resolved.

N no Tame Ni (2014)

8/10 - It is so rare to find this good of a Jdrama. I knew the plot had to be good seeing that it was based on a novel by Kanae Minato, but I didn't expect the execution to be this good as well! It's funny, because I actually really disliked Eikura Nana before but thank god I didn't let that bias stop me from watching this because this was hands down the best Jdrama of 2014 for me.

Nagareboshi (2010)

9/9 - Nagareboshi is a very slow burning drama that some people might consider it boring. If you don't like slow-paced dramas, don't watch this. But personally, Nagareboshi is one of my favourite Jdramas. It definitely explores more serious topics but its executed perfectly. Ueto Aya and Takenouchi Yukata together is unexpected but kind of perfect.

Nazotoki Wa Dinner No Ato De (2011)

8/8 - The cases are pretty standard. What makes this drama entertaining is the bickering between the two leads. I love love love the butler and Ojou-sama relationship! Keiko and Sho have such good chemistry and their bantering is always fun to watch.

Nobuta Wo Produce (2005)

9/9 - This drama holds a dear place in my heart because it was one of my first Jdramas! The friendship between the leads are the main highlight of the show!

Nodame Cantabile (2006)

10/9 - LOVE LOVE LOVE! Nodame is arguably one of the most loved characters ever! Her goofiness is so her and Ueno Juri portrays that perfectly. Tamaki Hiroshi was sooooo handsome as Chiaki and the main couple chemistry was just off the roof. It's because of Nodame Cantabile that I actually started to listen to classical music.

Orange Days (2004)

10/10 - This drama changed my life! No overstatement there. This is probably one of favourite slice of life dramas. I recommend this to everyone. Every single one of you!

Otenki Oneesan (2013)

7/5 - I honestly only liked this for Takei Emi. The script was just a mess and the cases were boring to be quite honest. I did learn some interesting things about weather though so yeah.

Otto No Kanojo (2013)

6/5 - The ratings definitely reflect the actual quality of the drama. Personally, this drama was pretty fun in the beginning! The two female leads did a really good job but the writing was pretty bad in this drama. Even Furukawa Yuki couldn't save it.

Ouroboros (2015)

10/9 - Oguri Shun and Ikuta Toma, how do I love thee! This is hands down one of the best dramas I have ever watched. From the emotion-inducing acting to the soundtrack, this drama seriously had me and exceeded all my expectations. I also have to mention how much I loved Ueno Juri in this. Her chemistry with Ikuta Toma was off the charts! But most importantly, it was the strong friendship between the two main leads that sold me. Watch but beware of tears at the end!

Piece (2012)

9/6 - I'm not quite sure why I like this drama so much. The acting was really bad and the plot got kind of ridiculous towards the end. But it just had so much impact on my emotionally.

Q10 (2010)

9/8 - Such a nostalgic drama! As I was watching it, I really felt like I was going to school with everyone. Maeda Atsuko's voice kind of annoyed me in the beginning but I got used to it. The romance was so cute and sad at the same time. Great slice of life drama with a robot!

Rich Man Poor Woman (2012)

8/8 - Oguuuuuri! I love it when he plays these weird characters. This drama really gives off a fresh feeling and I love the innovative part of it! Don't judge it by the cliche title ;)

Seigi No Mikata (2008)

10/9 - Oh my gosh, I literally laughed my butt off every single episode! Funniest drama I have ever watched!

Sennyu Tantei Tokage (2013)

8/7 - Matsuda Shota is just great at whatever he does. But his hair needs to leave. I really liked the undercover aspect of this drama.

Senryokugai Sousakan (2014)

7/6 - Despite watching the whole drama, I still don't really understand the meaning of the title and what it means to be a detective off the lines? The cases were pretty boring but TAKAHIRO saved it with his cute dimples. Takei Emi is cute as always but her character this time is one of my least favourites.

Shinigami-Kun (2014)

7/7 - I really don't have much to say about this drama. I love Ohno Satoshi's hat and I love the Death Note-like premise.

Shitsuren Chocolatier (2014)

7/6 - LOL this drama confused me so much. I wanted so bad for Matsumoto's character to end up with the second female lead! The only really good thing about this drama was the OST. It kicks ass!

Sprout (2012)

9/6 - Read full review here.

ST ~ Aka to Shiro no Sousa File (2014)

8/8 - Read full review here.

Subete ga F ni Naru (2014)

9/7 - Read full review here. (coming soon)

Taisetsu na Koto wa Subete Kimi ga Oshiete Kureta (2011)

10/9 - Read full review here.

Tatta Hitotsu no Koi (2006)

10/9 - If your looking for a pure and realistic first love drama, this is the one for you. I don't know what it is about this drama but I loved every part of it. Even though the premise seems a little cliché, the drama is anything but. Everything from the romance and family struggles were so believable and it really just made me fall in love with all the characters.

The Quiz Show Season 2 (2009)

9/9 - If you want a suspenseful drama that will keep you on edge, be sure to check this drama out! The mystery is pretty solid and I just love how it dives into the darkness of society.

Tokyo Bandwagon (2013)

6/7 - I really liked this drama in the beginning but it just got kind of boring towards the end. The pairing of Kame and Mikako Tabe was really nice though! They looked so cute together!

Tokyo DOGS (2009)

9/8 - I had a weird experience with this drama. I first watched it while skipping a lot of scenes and had mixed feelings about it. But then one day I decided to rewatch it and then I just fell in love with it! So yeah, don't skip in dramas lol.

Tokyo Zenryoku Shojo (2012)

7/6 - What a ridiculous drama lol. There were some heartwarming qualities to it but the first episode already took me aback. Takei Emi's character was cute but sometimes borderline annoying. She did look adorable with Miura Shohei though!

Umi No Ue No Shinryoujo (2013)

9/8 - Read full review here.

Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu (2011)

8/8 - The first time I watched this drama I kind of just skipped through it to watch the parts with Yoshitaka Yuriko. The second time I watched all of it and actually really enjoyed it. I love ensemble casts and this one especially because it showed many different types of realistic relationships. You could see all the character development by the end of the drama and each character grew equally. I really recommend this drama!

W No Higeki (2012)

8/7 - I'm normally not a huge fan on twin swap dramas but this one was actually pretty interesting. The mystery was done nicely even though it wasn't anything special.

Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge (2010)

9/7 - I totally fell in love with Kame during this drama. At first, I didn't really like the whole skull girl plot and stuff but I ended up loving it!

Zenkai Girl (2011)

8/8 - Nishiki's character was the highlight! His character is just so caring and nice. It's not even the annoying type of nice because he's so cute.

Zero no Shinjitsu (2014)

8/7 - My first time watching a drama about autopsies actually went better than expected. I didn't barf or anything even when I saw a completely dried human corpse.

Zettai Kareshi (2008)

8/7 - DONT WATCH THIS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE HEARTBROKEN! Don't be mad if you think I spoiled you because I think you should know that dramas with a robot as the male lead typically don't end well. It ends in HEARTBREAK! I advise you to watch this drama and absorb in all the cute and then stop once you start to sense trouble brewing.

Zettai Reido (2010)

8/8 - All the cases were solid! I just really like the overall concept of this detective drama. A fun and easy watch!

Zettai Reido 2 (2011)

9/8 - Instead of dealing with cold cases, the team is now dealing with undercover cases, which actually makes it even more interesting than the first season! The addition of Kiritani Kenta is also a big plus!

Movies

A Story of Yonosuke (2013)

8/9 - Quite a heartwarming movie. I think the character of Yonosuke is a very memorable one. There's not a lot of conflict in this movie so it's a light but fun watch. Kengo Kora is can do any role justice but this is definitely one of his best works.

An Assassin (2011)

6/- - I don't really know if I can judge this movie critically because I didn't fully understand it. It's a pretty low budget movie and I watched it simply because the storyline sounded interesting. It never amounted to much but I didn't really have any expectations in the first place. Maybe check it out if you really reaaaaaally have nothing to watch.

Ao Haru Ride (2014)

8/7 - Ao Haru Ride was enjoyable because of the cinematography, fitting cast, and the attraction of the original story. I followed the original manga for a whole two years month by month so of course it felt too fast. In its defence, the majority of live action adaptions are paced too fast. There were quite a few differences between the movie and the manga as well which I didn't mind. All in all, I will always enjoy shoujo adaptations because I will always have a shoujo heart lol. It's not everyone's cup of tea but sometimes its nice to watch a visually appealing movie too.

Avatar (2011)

6/4 - Such a weird weird movie I don't even know how to judge it. Don't take my ratings seriously because this movie was just too weird. I watched it for Hashimoto Ai of course but found myself questioning my choices throughout the movie. I must admit it was slightly entertaining simply because I like to watch bizarre things. Just so you have a clue of why I think its so weird, this movie is about cellphone avatars, which are like little avatars you can dress and such with virtual clothing.

Battle Royale (2000)

9/9 - I've been putting off watching this movie for a long time because I heard it was really bloody. I don't mind bloody but I was a little scared for my heart because I never truly challenged myself. After reading the book and loving it, I had to watch the movie and let me say that it was really good. This movie wasn't even half as bad or bloody as the scenes I was imagining while I was reading the book. This is one of my favourite movies but it is pretty old so approach with caution because you will laugh at some of the scenes.

Bokura Ga Ita (2012)

8/7 - I watched both parts at once and I felt like it was a fairly good adaptation. I do feel like the movie was miscast because Ikuta Toma looked SO old lol and the guy who played his best friend straight up looked like a dad the whole movie. I know movies typically cast older people for high school roles but I think they hit their limit with Toma and Yoshitaka Yuriko as well. Anyhow, I didn't feel as many emotions as the manga gave me but the pacing was quite okay with this movie.

Cheer Cheer Cheer! (2008)

6/7 - Watched for Gakky! This movie has all the charms of a Japanese high school movie and I really adored it. It also taught me a lot about traditional cheering which I never knew existed before. If you want a nice slice of life movie, check this one out :)

Clover (2014)

6/4 - Even though Takei Emi was so cute in this movie, I have to say it overall sucked. The pacing was insanely fast like when did the main couple even develop feelings for each other? Even though plenty of other live action adaptations move fast, I at least know why and how the main couple comes to like each other. This movie went so fast I couldn't even keep up. Its a shame because Takei Emi and Okura Tadayoshi have great chemistry and their characters had so many cute moments (more than your average shoujo movie) but I couldn't enjoy any of that because it was so damn fast!

Control Tower (2011)

10/8 - Love love love!!! This movie never fails to make me feel nostalgic no matter how many times I watch it. Although I love happy endings, I think bittersweet endings have a charm like no other. It definitely affects you more imo. This is one of my favourite works from Hashimoto Ai and Yamazaki Kento. The cinematography is just breathtaking since it is set in the snowy backdrop of Hokkaido.

Death Note (2006)

8/8 - As both an adaptation and a movie on its own, I really liked Death Note the movie. At first I was a bit hesitant since I used to hate Fujiwara Tatsuya but he was pretty impressive. I hadn't read the manga when I first watched the movie so I watched it with an open mind and quite liked it. I have to confess that the death god scared me quite a bit lol. Death note will always be interesting no matter what form you read/watch because of the amazing storyline itself.

Death Note 2: The Last Name (2006)

Same as above!

Detroit Metal City (2008)

9/7 - HAHAHA is what comes into mind whenever I think about this movie or see anything that remotely reminds me of it. I really really loved this movie it made me laugh my pants off at how ridiculous it was. Kenichi's acting as the always unlucky main character made me LOL so hard whenever I looked at him. This is a weird movie but I highly recommend it!

DOG x POLICE: The K-9 Force (2011)

6/5 - Just your run of the mill dog movie except its about police dogs. Movies about dogs will always make me cry but this wasn't anything special. I didn't feel anything for any of the characters so I guess in short this movie was just kind of plain and boring.

Enoshima Prism (2013)

9/7 - A very simple but heartwarming movie. Tsubasa Honda has this awkward acting that has kind of become her signature trait now lol. I actually quite enjoy it but instead of focusing on her character, I love love loved the scenes between Fukushi Sota and Honoka Miki. They didn't have any romantic interactions or anything but they had this special connection. I knew nothing coming into this movie other than the lead actors but I was pleasantly surprised!

Galileo: Yoshiga X no Kenshin (2008)

9/9 - Genius! Just genius! Keigo Higashino is a genius in my book after watching this movie. I read the book afterwards and I have to say it was just as great. All of Galileo's mysteries are amazing but this one takes the cake. The intricacy of the mystery is just mind-blowing when you finally reach the end, where you realize you've been tricked just as the characters in the movie has.

Gantz (2011)

8/7 - I think I loved this mainly for Ninomiya and Yoshitaka's pairing. The concept was hard for me to grasp at first and the movie was way more gorey than I expected but it was still pretty cool. I never read the source material but you should check this out if you're even remotely into sci-fi stuff.

Gantz: Perfect Answer (2011)

9/8 - This was a little better than the first movie because the relationship between the leads developed more and thats what really drew me into the movie in the first place.

Halfway (2009)

9/7 - Halfway is a very realistic movie about high school romance and what happens when you have to graduate. The way the main couple gets together is actually very realistic albeit not the typical shoujo way. Watch this if you want a relaxing, slow-paced movie that gives you all the warm, giddy, and bittersweet feelings of a high school romance.

Hanamizuki (2010)

6/7 - I guess you could put this movie on the same shelf as Halfway (2009) that I described above except this movie has more angst. Ikuta Toma and Aragaki Yui just don't have that natural chemistry even though the manufactured chemistry is still pretty cute.

Hard Romanticker (2011)

7/7 - Fighting, fighting, and more fighting with a side of swearing is all I remember from this movie. Matsuda Shota was very good looking here as well but thats really all I remember. If you had asked me what I remember about this movie 10 minutes after I finished watching it, it would still be the same answer.

Hero Movie (2007)

4/7 - I did not enjoy this movie lol. I don't really have a specific reason as to why. I'm surprised I didn't enjoy this movie myself either but I really think its just me.

Himitsu no Akko-chan (2012)

6/6 - You can think of this movie as one similar to 13 Going on 30. I like Ayase Haruka but I definitely think she was pretty off here. I blame it on the ridiculous and absurd plotline lol. Nevertheless, I did find it somewhat entertaining and Okada Masaki will always add points for me.

House Of Himiko (2005)

10/9 - This movie was so many things. It showed me a whole new perspective to the world as if I were the main character herself. This kind of subject matter was pretty sensitive and new at the time in Japan but I felt like it was dealt in the best way possible. I think you can call the theme of this movie finding yourself and learning more than what meets the eye. This is probably my favourite work from Shibasaki Kou and I recommend you to watch it!

Kanojo wa Uso o Aishisugiteru (2013)

5/4 - Haha this was kind of a horrible movie. Movie adaptations are always fast paced but the relationship development in this movie went faster than the speed of light. There was no development of feelings it was like BOOM they met and they like each other. Maybe watch this after you've watched all the movies you can possibly watch.

Korean

Dramas

A Love To Kill (2005)

7/4 - This drama had many problems with the flow of the plot. It was also a bit too dark for me but I still enjoyed it because of the two leads and I just really like plots that combine revenge and love together.

A New Leaf (2014)

7/8 - The pacing is so so so slow in this drama. That is really the only gripe I have with it. The memory loss and law elements was done really well so definitely watch it if you want something a little more serious and political!

Arang and The Magistrate (2012)

5/8 - This drama sort of bored me. I love Lee Jun Ki and Shin Min Ah but they didn't have much chemistry imo. It was really interesting in the beginning but I just got tired of it. Kind of a neutral drama for me. Nothing bad, nothing good.

Autumn in My Heart (2011)

No rating for this one. I watched a long long time ago when I was very young. That was around the Korean wave started and I only watched it because my parents were watching it.

Be Arrogant (2014)

8/8 - Such a fun drama! It was short and the budget was quite low but the acting was great and the characters were so cute.

Blood (2015)

6/3 - What a nightmare!!!!!!!! This drama was just like My Lovely Girl giving my extreme ups and then extreme downs. First I'd like to clarify that I watched the first episode and then I watched from the sixth episode to the end. The first episode was quite unbearable so I gave up and only came back for the surprisingly cute and natural OTP. They were the best thing about this drama in that their relationship formed nice and slowly. I know people are probably tired about the complaints regarding the acting but it has to be said--the acting was quite terrible from the leads. I would've probably given this drama an 8/6 if not for the craptastic ending. Do the writers really think the viewers would enjoy an ending with no explanation?

Can We Get Married? (2012)

4/8 - I started watching this only for Jung So Min but I ended up staying for Kim Young Kwang. It was interesting at first but it got repetitive at the end.

City Hunter (2011)

8/9 - Park Min Young and Lee Min Ho had loads of chemistry. The only thing stopping this from getting the highest rating is because I'm not that into this genre, which is why I didn't enjoy it as much. So If you love these types of revenge/action/suspense dramas, then I highly recommend it.

Cruel City (Heartless City) (2013)

6/8 - Really really liked the pairing of Soo Min and Park Sa but it was on the backburner. Again, I gave it a 6 because I wasn't all that interested in the underground undercover police plot whatever. And freakin everyone was undercover so I got very confused. And Nam Gyu Ri needs to take off her circle lenses, she's already pretty enough without them.

Cunning Single Lady (2014)

9/9 - What a nice and well done romcom! I refused to watch it at first since I didn't like Lee Min Jung's performance in Cyrano Dating Agency, but she really did win me over with her amazing performance. This drama was seriously so funny and so well done. It proves that you don't need a bucket load of conflict and angst to entertain and that a nice balance of humour with heartwarming moments will do just the trick! Definitely recommend this :D

Cyrano Dating Agency (2013)

7/7 - I will always love matchmaking plotlines. Pretty drama to watch and very funny.

Dae Jang Geum (2003)

Also no rating. I was too young lol. But if you ask anyone about this drama, they will probably talk about how good it was. I do remember seeing a bunch of cooking, which interested me. If you like sageuks, then you should for sure watch this drama. It's practically a classic.

Dal Ja's Spring (2007)

Also also no rating lol. Although I can't give this a technical rating, I can say that I enjoyed it. Chae Rim will always be one of my favourites for rom coms. I really really hate older women younger men dramas but I actually made it through this one because of how cute it was.

Delightful Girl ChunYang (2005)

8/9 - I really really do like this drama. This drama was very good on a technical aspect and everything else. I really miss Han Chae Young in this type of drama. I know she's older now but I hope she does more down to earth roles. And Jae Hee is as cute as ever!

Discovery of Romance (2014)

8/7 - This was a pretty solid drama. I wasn't going to watch it at first because I didn't really like Jung Yu Mi that much, but I pretty much love her now. I love the way she talks and her chemistry with Eric is amazing. The only reason why I didn't think it was that good on a critical aspect was how dragged out the love triangle was. Otherwise, this is a realistic drama that I'm sure many people can relate to.

Dream High 2 (2012)

6/3 - The plot was horrible. Acting was mostly horrible. Somehow I enjoyed it. I liked Rian and JB together but somehow JB ended up falling for Kang Sora's character in like one episode. That pissed me off but I enjoyed the rest because Jiyeon and Jinwoon's characters were cute together. Aside from that, the OST is dope.

Dream High (2011)

8/8 - A great drama about friends and dreams. I love dramas like this where you see the characters change and grow. I especially loved the ending couple because it was unexpected, which made it all the better.

Dr. Frost (2014)

9/8 - I really enjoyed this drama at first but I must admit it just wasn't exciting enough to keep me interested when it only aired on episode per week. If your a fan of psychological dramas then definitely check this one out! Each episode focuses on one case so its kinda sorta like a Jdorama in disguise as a Kdrama lol!

Exhibition of Fireworks (2006)

8/5 - This drama made me so frustrated. I hated the second lead too much but somehow in the end I still ended up enjoying it. I liked it enough that I re-watch it sometimes.

Flower Boy Next Door (2013)

6/6 - This drama was so good up until the last few episodes where it got very slow and boring. I've never been a huge fan of Park Shin Hye but I seriously love her performance here. From her appearance to her acting, it's all good. She doesn't even overact. And Yoon Shi Yoon is just perfect. I'm so glad for this drama because I discovered him through it. Overall, I would this drama was pretty heartwarming despite being slow at times and the leads are insanely good-looking. Plus, there's this one OST song that's just kick ass and its called "Wish It Was You" by Lee Jung :)

Full House (2004)

8/7 - TBH, this drama got really slow in the end. It was already a slow kind of drama but the end just got really really slow. Ignoring that, the leads were great and Yoon Shi Yoon seriously knocks me out with his cuteness. I also like how Park Shin Hye is not overacting this time. The characters are great, its a different kind of romance drama. I particularly like Park Shin Hye's character.

Gapdong (2014)

8/9 - This show wasn't amazing, but it was solid and consistent. I love mysteries so this drama had all the right elements for me. The constant twists and surprising reveals will keep you on edge and never make this drama boring. I watched this because of Lee Joon and Kim Ji Won and I must say that they look so cute together despite Lee Joon being a psychopath. If you like thrillers, I highly recommend this drama!

Golden Cross (2014)

7/8 - Ehh, I skipped a lot in this drama so I'm not sure if I have the right to say much about it. I watched it for the romance part but that was a dissapointment. I was really hoping for another "use the girl for revenge but then fall in love with her" type drama. Oh well, I still think it was a solid drama.

Good Doctor (2013)

6/8 - I'm not the type to get moved easily so this drama, which centers around heartwarming moments, did not appeal to me that much. Also, there just wasn't an OTP I loved. You guys know how much I love Moon Chae Won, but this drama just didn't do it for me. However, I'm still glad it got good ratings because I always want her to do good :) This was the first time watching Joo Won for me and I was very impressed! He was very into his role and did a good job. I recommend this to the people who love heartwarming and tear-jerking dramas.

Goong (Princess Hours) (2006)

9/7.5 - I have probably re-watched this drama a thousand times and will probably continue re-watching. This drama is perfect in my eyes except that it got a little too serious for a rom-com in the end.

Hello! Miss (2007)

Gah! It's been so long I can't rate this drama. All I can remember is how funny it was. I was watching a slew of Lee Da Hae dramas and I constantly got this one mixed up with My Girl because of how young I was.

High Society (2015)

6/7 - What a roller coaster this drama gave me. I have a thing for revenge/ambition turned love dramas, but this one just didn't go the way I wanted it to. If it didn't go how I imagined, it would've been okay but it developed so slowly and boringly that I felt like I was losing blood watching it. The colouring and quality of the drama were also very under par for me. The only good part was the actors and the chemistry between both the couples.

Kill Me, Heal Me (2015)

8/8 - This was one of the most hyped dramas for 2015 and it definitely deserved it! The cast was amazing in their roles and Ji Sung of course blew everyone away with his sensational performance as 7 different personalities. He somehow managed to give off a different aura with each and made me fall in love with all of them. I would have given this a perfect but surprisingly it didn't pull me and make me crazy as it did to the majority of other people. There were actually some significant problems with the plot but they managed to hide it seamlessly and add extra entertainment to the drama at the same time. Watch it and you WILL fall in love with Ji Sung.

Liar Game (2014)

9/9 - I LOVE THIS DRAMA TO THE MOON AND BACK. As a Kdrama, this drama deserves a 9 because of how it kept its pace and plot throughout the entire 12 episodes. Every episode was perfect in that it revealed just the right amount of information that made me neither pissed or unsatisfied. For all you lovers of the original version, I actually like the Jdorama one slightly more because it delves deeper into the themes of greed and such. The Kdrama version was perfect as a Kdrama. Being a Kdrama, the focus on character background was of course more important than the actual game, but fortunately, it was executed nicely. This is probably the best drama in 2014 and my favourite from tvN thus far. With remakes disappointing here and there, this was seriously a diamond in the rough, and thats why it has such a great score in my book.

Love Story in Harvard (2004)

Ah! It seems my memory is failing me about this drama because I've forgotten about it. Kim Tae Hee and Kim Rae Won are beautiful. That is all. Maybe you should search up another blog for this review, there are tons! :)

Marriage, Not Dating (2014)

9/9 - Man does tvN know how to produce a good drama. It's so refreshing to have a Kdrama thats both realistic and entertaining! This is a perfect mixture of humour and romance along with crazy family antics. Nevertheless, there are heartwarming moments that are put in place perfectly. This drama pretty much gets straight A's across the board.

Master's Sun (2013)

10/8 - I LOVE THIS DRAMA. YOU ALL NEED TO WATCH IT. Seriously, Gong Hyo Jin never ceases to amaze me with her natural acting and I absolutely love So Ji Sub finally playing a chaebol lolol. This drama is so funny and the skinship is just filled up to the rim. I pretty much laughed and cried.

My Girl (2005)

8/8 - So So funny. This drama made me fall in love with Lee Da Hae and Lee Dong Wook. I recommend it to people who love a good rom com!

My Girlfriend is A Gumiho (2010)

9/9 - This is a really good rom-com if you're looking for one. Its cute, funny, and heartbreaking when it needs to be. I re-watch it all the time. Lee Seung Gi makes the perfect spoiled college student trying to be a star and Shin Min Ah makes the perfect Gumiho in love.

My Lovely Girl (2014)

7/5 - If you asked me for my rating on this drama before episode 10, I would've given it 9/8. And if you asked me for my rating on this drama at the end of episode 8, I would've given it 10/10. After episode 10, everything fell downhill and I'm not giving it zilch now only because of my intense love for it at episode 8. I would suggest you to watch up to episode 8 and then pretend its the end. Also, if you can't take the big age gap then don't watch it. Personally, I didn't really care and found myself in the minority of Rain/Krystal shippers.

My Lovely Kim Sam Soon (2005)

Ahahaha, I do not remember details about this drama. I do remember how much I wanted Hyun Bin to end up with Jung Ryeo Won. But I also remember how much I loved Sam Soon's character. Anyhow, this was a drama with very high ratings and it is a classic so everyone watch it!

Nice Guy (2012)

10/9 - Amazing drama! This is another revenge love drama that does a fantastic job at keeping it's pace. I would've given it all perfect ratings if it weren't for the ending. The ending is very good but just a little bit rushed. I won't spoil so you have to watch it! I re-watch this constantly!

Oh My Ghost (2015)

9/8 - This has been one of the more perfect dramas I've seen in a while. It was solid from start to finish and the ending was especially satisfying. If I hadn't lost interest in it for 2 weeks it would've gotten a solid 10/10 from me. This drama really touches you emotionally no matter what type of personality you have. There should be at least one character that you can relate to. I found myself relating to all of the characters and I felt nothing but love for each one of them (minus the creepy ass evil ghost of course). I highly recommend this drama and I'm sure the majority of viewers will say the same.

One Sunny Day (2014)

10/9 - Even though there were only 10 episodes, this drama was so short and sweet. I'm a sucker for these types of vacation romances because you always get those nostalgic feelings thinking back. So Ji Sub and Kim Ji Won were soooo unexpected but pleasant together! Kim Ji Won was especially cute and So Ji Sub's character's awkwardness was so cute as well. I definitely recommend this drama as a picker upper because its so realistic but cute at the same time. The OST is also insanely calming and fresh!

Over The Rainbow (2006)

9/6 - I love how this drama is realistic when dealing with the entertainment industry. Although it doesn't display all the dark parts of the industry, it does a great job at showing the ups and downs of young adults trying to become famous. This drama seriously gives me so many feels because of the ending. I love the ending. Ji Hyun Woo is the lead but somehow Kwanghee won my heart in this one.

Pasta (2010)

9/8 - This drama is very witty and a little different from the usual ones. I don't need to say anything about Gong Hyo Jin because you just know how amazing she is. Lee Sun Kyun surprised me as well. His character was so ridiculous and you would hate him and then love him. He really did a good job!

Playful Kiss / Mischeivous Kiss (2010)

9/6 - I watched this for the leads. Kim Hyun Joong and Jung So Min are super compatible. As for the drama, it was okay.

Poseidon (2011)

6/3 - This drama was a big huge mess. Plot was horribly executed and the acting was meh because of Siwon. Kind of a letdown considering the huge hype surrounding this drama. Nonetheless, Siwon and Lee Si Young were kind of cute together.

Princess' Man (2011)

10/10 - A beautiful sageuk with amazing cinematography. The acting, the chemistry, and the story were simply amazing. Moon Chae Won and Park Si Hoo have uncrackable chemistry that is perfect for their characters romeo and juliet love story. I normally never watch sageuks because I don't like them, but this one is a big exception. I re-watch this so often I can't even count. Highly highly recommended. I can say that it is my second favourite korean drama of all time.

Producer (2015)

9/9 - Producer was very hyped up and imo it delivered exactly what it promised. Unlike the majority, I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode with humour and format just like The Office, which is one of my favourite shows. The acting was great and the weakest link which was IU actually ended up being the strongest in terms of character portrayal and development. The only quip I had with this show was how it kept putting the lovelines as the main focus when I was actually more interested in the mechanisms behind variety shows.

Rival (2002)

K so I legit do not remember anything from this drama other than Kim Jae Won and how I ended up really liking it. Anyhow, try watching it if you have time! It's really old so you might not be able to find the eng subs.

Rooftop Prince (2012)

6/6 - This is kind of a neutral drama for me. I enjoyed it but it didn't move me. Han Ji Min and Yoochun aren't exactly my favourite pairing but they were substantially cute together. This time travelling drama will make you laugh for sure. And it will make you fall in love with Omurice.

Scholar Who Walks the Night (2015)

School (2013)

8/8 - Gawwwwd. I would've liked this soooo much more if the romance took off. Most people are glad that it focused more on school issues but I just desperately wanted Lee Jong Suk's character and Park Se Young's character to get together. They both already have so much chemistry already!

Secret (2013)

7/8 - Very enjoyable drama! OST was kick ass and this director sure knows how to end off with cliffhangers. Ji Sung is infinitely cute and this drama made me go from hating Hwang Jung Eum to liking her! Watch the cast on Happy Together, they are all so likable! :)

Secret Angel (2012)

8/7 - I've never been a fan of cross border dramas only because I hate hate hate voice dubbing. If it ain't for anime, I don't want no voice actors. Anyhow, I actually enjoyed this drama because Kim So Eun is just so cute on all levels and Chen Xiang is SO HANDSOME. Beware this is a really cheesy and typical drama but if you don't mind, then definitely check it out.

Seonam Girls High School Investigators (2015)

9/8 - Suuuper entertaining! I really thoroughly enjoyed this drama! It made me want to go back to highschool and start a detective club of my own lol! There were times where the pacing was a little slow but it never got frustrating. This drama covers a variety of topics and some will leave in tears whereas others will tug at your heartstrings. It's definitely a drama I recommend!

Spy Myung-Wol (2011)

7/3 - Horrible drama. It was horrible. The plot was so messed up. Despite all that, I enjoyed it a lot lol. Eric is really really cute and his character's love for the main girl is very strong but believable! I'm not loving Han Ye Seul's hair but she's looking pretty as usual.

Stairway to Heaven (2003)

Please find other reviews and ratings on this. I actually do not remember anything.

Surplus Princess (2014)

8/7 - Tbh, I don't even know how good this drama is critically because I was too busy noticing all the funny references and ridiculous interactions between the characters. I really enjoyed this drama minus the rushed ending (which wasn't really the dramas fault). I'm a big fan of slapstick and craziness so all the drama references and parodies in Surplus Princess just made me love it more. If you're looking for a fun drama or a light watch, check out Surplus Princess!

Thank You (2007)

10/10 - I have no idea how to start on this drama. There is so much to say. I probably won't do a full review but I consider this drama my all time favourite Korean drama. This drama will tug on your heart and change you. I've always liked romance dramas with generic plots like rich man poor woman types, but this drama seriously took me away. It was refreshing, heartwarming, and touching. I know not many people have heard about this drama because it is pretty old but I feel like everyone needs to watch it. I fell in love with Gong Hyo Jin and Jang Hyuk in here. All the acting is spectacular.

That Winter The Wind Blows (2013)

8/7 - I really enjoyed this drama. Everything was very very epic with the epic ost. Let me repeat that the ost was awesome. Song Hye Kyo and Jo In Sung make a very very attractive couple and the backstory is solid. Recommended to everyone who enjoys dramas where people use people and start to fall in love. I sure love those dramas ;)

The Greatest Love (2011)

9/9 - Gosh this drama was so funny! This is the first Cha Seung Won drama I've watched and I love him! I'm kind of in love with his greasiness and him and Gong Hyo Jin have amazing chemistry.

The Vineyard Man (2006)

3/3 - This drama was horrible. It wasn't even enjoyable for me. The male lead was forgettable and I still don't know his name. Yoon Eun Hye was normal but the story brought it down. It was funny at times which is why I didn't give it a 1 for enjoyment.

Trot Lovers (2014)

6/7 - This drama become such a disappointment after it decided to hit its male lead with the amnesia stone. I'm not really against playing the amnesia card and it's actually one of my biggest guilty pleaser clichés if done right. The first half of the drama was solid; it was nothing more and nothing less. The second half seriously made me question if it was actually a makjang instead of a romcom. The only thing that saved this drama was the likeable characters (unpopular opinion: I actually really liked Soo In).

Warm and Cozy (2015)

7/6 - This drama was nice in the beginning. It was an easy watch with beautiful scenery of Jeju in almost every shot. In short, the first half of this drama was in fact warm and cozy. But the second half completely went downhill as the story continued to go in circles with misunderstanding after misunderstanding. It was obvious that there wasn't enough story to make it to 16 episodes so they decided to milk it. Kang Sora and Yoo Yun Suk are great actors and had great chemistry but all was ruined by the writing in the second half.

Which Star Are You From? (2006)

10/9 - So many feels! This drama made me cry and laugh. Kim Rae Won is soooo cute and Jung Ryeo Won is perfect for this type of country bumpkin role. I highly recommend this. This drama is so touching.

Who Are You: School 2015 (2015)

9/8 - Read my thoughts on School 2015 here!

Witch Yoo Hee (2007)

10/5 - K, so yeah. I totally loved this drama but it was pretty bad. Han Ga In acted really badly but I still love her because I am all about looks. Jae Hee did so well and I love him so much, except for his hair in the beginning.

You Who Came From The Stars (2014)

8/9 - I wasn't planning to watch this drama because I can't watch older women-younger men dramas but since everyone was so obsessed with it, I decided to watch it. I marathoned the beginning and then followed it week to week. It was amazing in the beginning and super funny but towards the last few episodes, I lost interest really really fast. The acting and quality is superb like what you would expect. Highly recommend it. It's a solid watch and if you haven't watched it, then you are missing out in every conversation about K-dramas.

Movies

200 Pound Beauty (2006)

8/7 - This movie is like a guilty pleasure that I rewatch sometimes. It's very funny and kind of touching in a funny way. Kim Ah Joong is gorgeous and I highly recommend you to check the movie out!

Changing Partners (2007)

2/4 - I really don't remember much about this movie but there was a lot of sexy time. I only watched it for Lee Dong Gun (HES SO CUTE) but I was disappointed. The plot is pretty interesting, though. Watch it if you have nothing else in the world to watch.

Confessions of A Murderer (2012)

9/9 - Amazing, this movie was amazing. I love movies with a twist and this one had a BIG TWIST. Seriously, I'm not going to spoil it because it's what made me love it so much. Love it. It's filled with suspense that will keep you on edge!

Cyrano Agency (2010)

8/7 - Super funny! I'm not a huge fan of Park Shin Hye but this movie and FBND are hands down my favourite works from her! Also, the plot just simply appeals to me. Recommend it to anyone who wants a good laugh.

Hot Blooded Youth (2014)

10/9 - I just finished this and I have to say I love it. The pairing is just perfect. Lee Jong Suk and Park Bo Young are amazing. My favourite thing about this movie is how extremely funny it is. I know I've mentioned how funny several other dramas/movies on here are, but compared to this one, none of the others are funny. Highly recommend watching this!!

My Little Bride (2004)

7/7 - Eh, this movie was pretty good but kinda weird. I don't mind age gaps when the male is older but this age gap might've been a little too big for me. I'm not talking about 20 years, but there were some parts that felt really innapropriate. Regardless, Moon Geun Young is really amusing to watch and Kim Rae Won is just so good looking. He's a good actor too but he is just so good looking.

Secretly, Greatly (2013)

9/8 - I've never been a big fan of spy movies but seeing how this movie had not one, not two, but THREE very good looking guys, I had to check it out. The mood of this movie is quite comical in the first half but pretty somber in the second. This might be annoying to some but I thoroughly enjoyed the entire movie. The relationships between the characters were the highlight of the movie and I very much liked the the pacing, which was a bit on the slow side but great nonetheless. Check out this movie for its great acting, great looks, and maybe some tearing up at the end!

Tazza: The Hidden Card (2014)

9/8 - Having never watched the first Tazza movie, I came into this movie with no bias and really enjoyed it. I did think it was a little bit too long but I thoroughly enjoyed all the twists and turns. Now I'm really wanting to watch the first movie. I'm not too familiar with the Korean game Go Stop so I didn't understand some of the point systems but I still found the gambling scenes the most interesting. I must say TOP portrayed his role really well as well as all the other actors.

The Con Artists (2014)

8/8 - Films like these are so entertaining that it makes it hard to judge. The Con Artists isn't anything new in terms of heist films but it still has that punch to it. Even though you can predict the twist in the end where everything will turn out, it's still interesting to watch how the plan ultimately unravels. Kim Woo Bin did great and his role here was similar to Young Do except way smarter and now as mean. I wish Lee Hyun Woo had more time because I feel like I never get enough of him. All in all this movie was a solid and entertaining watch!

This is a rare case in which I don't feel much for this movie. First off, I only watched the first two shorts because of the actors. The first short with Donghae was very serious whereas the second one was a little bit bitter but heartwarming at the same time.

The Grand Heist (2012)

6/8 - I'm really into heist films and read that this was one of the top grossing movies of 2012 so I gave it a try. I love love love Cha Tae Hyun but this whole entire movie was a little bit underwhelming. I enjoyed the comedy and such but I guess I personally prefer modern heist films more.

The Youth (2014)

8/7 - My rating is only for the first two shorts. I thought the first short was very interesting and engaging. I enjoyed the mystery part of it. The second short I liked just a little bit more because there were more emotions I could relate with. Overall a pretty good movie!

Today's Love (2015)

8/7 - A great romcom that showcased two close friends becoming a couple. Lee Seung Gi and Moon Chae Won definitely have loads of chemistry and their acting was on point, but the movie did feel a little empty. It's a nice movie to watch if you're looking for some cute fluff but other than that it wasn't anything special.

Twenty (2015)

9/8 - I really enjoyed this movie! I loved the friendship between the three main characters and I pretty much died laughing at how funny everything was. Apart from being hilariously funny, the movie really managed to show what students go through as they finish high school and the different hardships different people may face. I highly recommend this movie!

Wolf Boy (2012)

10/10 - I cried. I cried so bad. Park Bo Young and Song Joongki are so perfect together. Gosh, I cried so bad. This is such a heartwarming movie about love. Actually, no. This is much more than a romantic movie.
